Pokehype SA Ball Drop
Effective Date: 14 May 2026
These official Competition Rules govern all Ball Drop skill-based promotional competitions operated by Pokehype SA, a platform owned and operated by ALCHEMY AGENCY COLLECTIVE (PTY) LTD ("Pokehype SA", "we", "our", or "the Promoter").
By participating in any Competition, you agree to be bound by these Rules, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
The Pokehype SA Ball Drop Competition is a skill-based promotional game where Participants predict the final landing coordinates of a digital ball as it travels through a pachinko-style "Mystery Zone". The objective is to test spatial prediction skill, trajectory interpretation, and strategic placement of coordinates. The Participant whose selected coordinates are closest to the verified final landing coordinates will be declared the Winner.
Each Competition follows this structure: • A digital Ball is released into the Mystery Zone. • The Ball travels through multiple randomized physical-style interactions (bounce, deflection, directional shifts). • Participants select a coordinate prediction before the Competition closes. • At the end of the Competition Period, the True Coordinates are revealed. • The closest prediction wins. The Ball movement is visually simulated but mathematically tracked to produce final coordinates.
The Competition is explicitly skill-based and not a game of chance. Skill is demonstrated through: • Interpretation of visual trajectory patterns • Understanding of bounce mechanics • Strategic coordinate placement • Observation of prior Ball Drop patterns (where applicable) • Analytical prediction of final landing zones While randomness exists within the Ball path simulation, the final outcome can be meaningfully predicted using skill-based reasoning.
To participate, users must: • Be 18 years or older • Be a legal resident of South Africa • Have a registered Pokehype SA account • Submit valid coordinate entries through the Website Each entry represents a single coordinate selection for a specific Competition.
To ensure fair participation: • Users may purchase up to 100 paid entries per Competition • Free entries (where applicable) do not count toward this limit • Each account is limited to one individual user • Multiple account usage is strictly prohibited Any attempt to exceed entry limits may result in disqualification.
Pokehype SA may offer one (1) free entry per user per month for selected low-tier Competitions. Free entries: • Must be used within the applicable Competition period • Cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged • Are subject to the same Rules as paid entries • May be revoked if abuse is suspected
Winners are determined as follows: • The Promoter publishes the final True Coordinates after the Competition closes. • All valid entries are measured against the True Coordinates. • Distance is calculated using straight-line coordinate distance. • The entry with the smallest distance is declared the Winner. In the event of identical distances, tie-break procedures apply (see Section 8).
If two or more entries are equally close: Step 1: Secondary Entry Comparison • Additional entries from tied Participants are compared • The closest secondary entry determines ranking Step 2: Judge Review • A review panel assesses visual trajectory logic • Judges make a final determination based on skill interpretation Step 3: Sudden Death Round • If still unresolved, tied Participants enter a new Ball Drop challenge • A new image/round is used under identical rules • The process repeats until a winner is determined If a Participant fails to respond within 72 hours during tie-break procedures, they forfeit their position.
